  • AZV® and ZV-FIXOMAT®: Filling Nozzles

ARTA offers filling nozzles in a wide range of designs for various industrial applications. The ZV-FIXOMAT® Filling Nozzle is designed for manual operation, while the AZV® Filling Nozzle features an automatic shut-off function. Both systems provide a high level of safety for users and the environment and can be conveniently operated with just one hand.

How do ARTA Filling Nozzles work?

AZV® Filling Nozzles can be operated with just one hand and open progressively through activation of the hand lever. Once the lever locks into position, the filling nozzle enters automatic mode. When the desired filling level is reached, the filling process stops automatically. The valve closes and the lever returns to its original position.

ZV-FIXOMAT® Filling Nozzles are manually controlled and suitable for a wide range of applications. They can also be operated with one hand and feature a dead man's safety mechanism. As soon as the operator releases the handle, the valve closes and the filling process is stopped quickly and safely.

A particular advantage of ARTA Filling Nozzles is their reliable closing performance even at increased operating pressures. Both the AZV® and ZV-FIXOMAT® close safely in the event of a pressure increase. Their construction also prevents unintentional opening when the operating pressure rises while the valves are closed.

What advantages do ARTA Filling Nozzles offer?

      Safe and reliable closure

Even when operating pressure fluctuates or increases unexpectedly, the intelligent design of ARTA Filling Nozzles ensures reliable closure. The transported medium remains safely contained within the piping system, protecting both users and the environment.

      Automatic shut-off with the AZV®

Once the desired filling level is reached, the AZV® Filling Nozzle detects the reduction in flow pressure and automatically stops the filling process. This enables convenient and safe filling operations.

      Optimized filling level

ARTA Filling Nozzles minimize foam formation during filling, allowing the highest possible filling level to be achieved in the respective container.

      Easy and ergonomic operation

ARTA Filling Nozzles are characterized by their user-friendly handling. They can be conveniently operated with just one hand, even when wearing protective gloves.

      Prevention of harmful gas emissions

When filling certain liquids, harmful gases may be released that pose risks to users and the environment. ARTA therefore offers suitable gas recovery systems which, in combination with the filling nozzles, prevent these gases from escaping into the surrounding atmosphere.

      Internationally tested and certified

ARTA Filling Nozzles have received certifications from recognized international approval bodies. This makes them suitable for numerous applications with demanding safety requirements.

For which areas of application were ARTA Filling Nozzles developed?

Thanks to the wide range of available designs, ARTA Filling Nozzles are suitable for filling various types of industrial containers. Different materials are available depending on the medium being handled. The filling nozzles can be used for chemicals, aggressive media and solvents, among other applications.

The particularly compact ZV-DN 12 version is suitable for filling and emptying small containers and engines, as well as for adding substances, sampling and laboratory applications. Four special outlet tube designs are available to ensure precise filling and emptying. The ergonomically designed hand lever allows controlled handling of small quantities of liquid.

The DN 20/25/32 nominal sizes of the automatic and manual filling nozzles are ideal for filling drums and canisters. For large drums and containers, ARTA recommends the high-performance ZV-FIXOMAT® DN 50 and AZV® DN 50 Filling Nozzles with integrated swivel joints.
