ASK®-FD: Quick-Disconnect for solids and hygienic applications
The ASK®-FD Quick Release Coupling permits rapid connection and disconnection of hoses and pipes. Due to its design, it can convey not only liquids but also solids such as granules. Because it is easy to clean, it is also perfect for hygienic applications. Its integrated swivel joint minimizes mechanical wear, providing a robust service life.
Coupling and uncoupling the ASK®-FD Quick Disconnect Coupling is quick and easy.
To connect the coupling, position the female connector on the male adaptor of the Quick Disconnect. The coupling is sealed with a single, continuous turn, so that the transported media remains safely inside the line, spill-free.
To disconnect the ASK®-FD, just reverse the procedure once the line has been drained.
The ASK®-FD is simple to clean after use, making the quick-release coupling suitable for hygienic applications.
The easy use of the quick disconnect minimizes the necessary time to make a connection. This is enhanced by the ergonomically optimized hand wheel, greatly simplifying the operation in comparison to a conventional grab handle.
Due to its design, the ASK®-FD achieves maximum delivery flow without pressure loss.
On the female side of the coupling, the integrated swivel joint prevents mechanical stress and torsion in the pipe. Also, the coupling’s high-quality design ensures permanently smooth swivel joint rotation. The ASK®-FD therefore requires almost no maintenance.
The ARTA pin offers another important safety precaution. It is located on the female side of the coupling and snaps into the male adaptor to prevent unintentionally releasing the coupling.
We offer a mechanical lockout option for ARTA couplings. This prevents unintended coupling to a connector carrying a different substance, thereby avoiding accidental mixing of products.
The ASK®-FD is a globally recognized safety coupling that has been certified by international approval entities. For this reason, there are no safety-related reservations surrounding its use.
